Tara is a mature yet innocent fifteen year old who prefers poetry, art, and music to the typical drinking and sex that consume her peers. David, her twenty six year old teacher, is tired of the jaded and shallow relationships that dominate his “adult” world. As their friendship slowly tests the boundaries of romance, neither is prepared to face the ageist and arbitrary society waiting to destroy them.
Imaginary Girls chronicles the death of innocence and love in one girl, while depicting the romantic failings of the adult world in various stages of disintegration.
